Get your sysop to install a timeout on your Maildrop. :)

Subject: Questions about Cybercom
Re: msg to ALL on - - 15:51
D ->I saw a post about the cybercom.drv replacement to more accurately inc

I use the CYBERCOM.DRV driver. It's primary function is for use with 16550
UART ports. Most computers have 16450 UART chips. If you use various test
utilities that tell you you UART chip you can see of you have a compatible
16550 chip. Sometimes, if you don't have this chip, you can plug in a new
one. The benefit is that the 16550 has a better sized buffer to better
handle high speed port communications. If you use a 14,400 baud modem, just
set your Windows port setting to 19,200. There is no 'setup' of this
driver, just replace the COMM.DRV in your SYSTEM.INI file with the
CYBERCOM.DRV and reboot windows loading the new driver. This is a good
driver, but the best is still considered to be the TURBOCOM.DRV which is
commercially available.
